Mumbai Traffic Update: The Mumbai Police on Sunday issued an advisory for commuters and a series of road restrictions to ensure smooth commuting ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city today (April 1) to address a ceremony marking 90 years of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). 

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Mumbai Traffic Police have shared parking restrictions for the following roads: 

  • Captain Prakash Pethe Road

  • Dorabaji Tata Road

  • Gen. Jagannath Bhosle Road

  • Jamanalal Bajaj Marg

  • Madam Cama Road

  • NCPA Marg

  • Nathalal Parekh Road

  • Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road

  • Ramnath Goika Marg

  • Rambhau Salgaonkar Road

  • Shahid Bhagatsing Road

  • Vinay K Shah Marg

  • Best Road

  • VV Rao Marg

  • Barrister Rajni Patel Marg

  • Mumbai Traffic Advisory: Here Are The Changes Made In Routine Traffic Pattern

    - The Mumbai Traffic Police mentioned that the traffic arrangements will take place from 7 am to 2 pm on Monday. According to the traffic advisory, the stretch of Rambhau Salgaonkar Road between Indu Clinic Junction (Sayyed Jamadar Chowk) and Volga Chowk will remain open for both directions of vehicle traffic.

    - The stretch of Maker Tower 04, from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Usha Mehta Chowk, will remain open to vehicular traffic in both directions. Similarly, the stretch between Jamanalal Babaj Marg and NCPA Gate No 04 would be available for both directions of vehicular traffic. 

    - According to the advisory, ll vehicles save emergency vehicles would be restricted on April 1 and 7 from 12 afternoon to 11:55 pm. 

    PM Modi In Mumbai Today

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a ceremony in Mumbai today, marking "90 years of the Reserve Bank of India", which will be attended by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.

    Taking to X, the central bank wrote, “Join us for the commemoration of the 90th year of Reserve Bank of India (RBI@90). Address by Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi and by Hon’ble Finance Minister @nsitharaman. Welcome address by RBI Governor @dasshaktikanta.”

    The Central Bank of India, RBI, was established on April 1, 1935, under the Reserve Bank of India Act 1934. The nationalisation of the RBI took place in 1949.
