Narmada Expressway: Madhya Pradesh will get the state's largest expressway. This almost 1200-kilometre-long route will run through 11 districts of the state and cost around Rs 31 thousand crore. It has been given the name Narmada Expressway. This expressway is four times larger than the Yamuna Expressway. The Narmada Expressway will connect around 30 national highways, state highways, and district roads, clearly benefiting the development of these districts.
The Narmada Expressway is being built between the districts of Alirajpur and Anuppur, starting in Amarkantak. The expressway would cover Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Hoshangabad, Harda, Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, and Alirajpur.
The state's highways that connect to this expressway are currently two-lane, although they will eventually be upgraded. After that, this two-lane will become a four-lane.
The buildup will benefit people who live in the cities surrounding that route. The project is anticipated to be finished by 2026.
The Narmada Expressway will connect Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. It will connect the Anuppur district to Chhattisgarh and Alirajpur to Ahmedabad.
Narmada Expressway To Boost Tourism
It will help the state's tourism industry. Gujarat and Chhattisgarh will also benefit from this, in addition to Madhya Pradesh. As a result, all three states will have easier connectivity. It will be comfortable for tourists visiting places like Omkareshwar, Amarkantak, and Bhedaghat-Lametaghat.
All three states will see a rise in employment and investment possibilities. In addition, this expressway opens up new opportunities for growth in all three states.
