Jagran Correspondent | Ranchi: The railway authorities on Saturday have announced two special trains from Ranchi to Dhanbad and Daltonganj for the students appearing for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination. The one-way trains will operate on June 21st. The move is expected to provide ease to the students during the rush hours on the day of examination. The examination is scheduled to be conducted at 2 pm.

As per the update, Train No. 08603 Ranchi-Dhanbad Special will depart Ranchi at 6:30 pm. The train will stop at Muri, Jhalida, Kotshila, Bokaro Steel City, Chandrapura, Phulwartanda, and Katrasgarh stations before arriving in Dhanbad at 11:05 p.m. A total of 12 MEMU coaches will be attached to this train.
Meanwhile, Train No. 08631 Ranchi-Daltonganj Special Train will depart Ranchi at 7:15 p.m. It will stop at Piska, Tangarbansali, Nagjua, Lohardaga, Badkichampi, Bodagram, Tori, Latehar, Chhipadohar, and Barwadih stations and arrive in Daltonganj at 11:15 p.m. T will have a total of eight coaches, including two SLRD and six general-class coaches.
Railway officials say that these special trains are being operated to control the extra rush of passengers during the examination and to ensure that the candidates reach their destination on time.
Why Is NEET UG Re-Examination Being Conducted?
On May 3, the National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2026 examination in around 551 cities across the country. However, they discovered that the exam paper had already been distributed on some mobile phones two days before the exam (May 1). Following this second consecutive NEET exam fraud, the investigation was transferred to the CBI, and the exam is now being reconducted on June 21.
