New Year's Eve In Delhi-NCR: The Delhi Police increased vehicle inspections throughout the city on Tuesday, New Year's Eve, erecting barricades and restricting traffic, especially in and around Connaught Place. KG Marg, Parliament Street, Barakhamba Road, Janpath, and all other roads leading to Connaught Place are all blocked to traffic, and commuters are being advised to use alternate routes by the police.

Consequently, there was a lot of traffic in the central Delhi region. According to a senior police officer, in addition to central Delhi, vehicles are being thoroughly inspected at strategic points throughout the city, such as Hauz Khas and Saket in south Delhi, Vikas Marg in east Delhi, and Rajouri Garden in west Delhi, in order to avert any unfortunate incidents.

Additionally, staff members use breathalysers to examine drivers for alcohol use while they are driving close to Connaught Place and other locations. Foot patrols are being used to inspect the critical sites.
