Bengaluru: A shocking case has come to light in Bengaluru, where a woman allegedly killed her 40-year-old, bedridden husband with the help of her mother and later attempted to pass off the crime as a natural death. Avalahalli Police have arrested three people in connection with the case: the victim's wife, Shahina Banu, her mother Haseena Banu, and Naheemuddin Qureshi, who allegedly advised Shahina to kill her husband.

Paralysed Husband, Affair, Murder Conspiracy

The victim, Mubarak, had been bedridden for two years due to paralysis. The couple had been married for around 20 years, and they have a daughter who was unwell, news agency PTI reported.

During the daughter's treatment, Qureshi came into contact with the family. Police suspect that Shahina subsequently developed a relationship with Qureshi. During the investigation, police found out that Shahina told Qureshi that she was facing difficulties in taking care of her paralysed husband. Qureshi reportedly advised her to eliminate Mubarak, after which Shahina and her mother planned the murder.

Assaulted In Sleep, Heart Attack Cover-Up

On September 9, Mubarak was attacked while he was sleeping at their residence in Yellappa Garden, Kithaganur. The suspects allegedly assaulted and suffocated him to death. Following the incident, Shahina and her mother told relatives that Mubarak had died due to a heart attack. However, the victim's brother grew suspicious and alerted the police.

Post-Mortem Reveals Asphyxiation And Injuries To Private Parts

Avalahalli Police initially registered a case of unnatural death and began an investigation. Later, the post-mortem report revealed that Mubarak died of asphyxiation and had sustained injuries to his private parts. Police subsequently questioned the suspects and allegedly uncovered the murder plan. Shahina, Haseena, and Qureshi were then arrested in connection with the case.
