Delhi Traffic Diversion: As the T20 cricket match is going to be held in New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, the traffic police have announced a traffic diversion in the city. Sharing a post on X, the Delhi traffic police said, In a post on X, Delhi Traffic Police said, “In connection with the India–Afghanistan T20 Cricket Match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on 13.09.2026, traffic restrictions, diversions and parking regulations will be in place in and around the stadium area from 1400 hrs onwards.”

Which routes are affected?
Routes such as Central Delhi, including ITO, Rajghat, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Delhi Gate, DDU Marg, and Asaf Ali Road, will be affected. The movement of goods vehicles will also be curtailed along specified stretches of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, JLN Marg and DDU Marg.
Commuters are therefore advised to plan their day accordingly and use public transport as much as possible. As per the traffic police, traffic restrictions, diversions and parking rules will be in force in the stadium and its surrounding areas from 2 pm onwards. "Commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance, avoid unnecessary travel through the match venue area, use alternate routes wherever feasible and follow the directions of traffic personnel," the advisory said.

Spectators visiting the stadium are requested to use only designated entry, parking, and app-based taxi pickup and drop-off points. Parking for the stadium will be available on Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road.
People have been advised to use alternative routes wherever possible and plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays.

Where can the spectators make the entry?
The traffic police said that people can make entries from these gates on Sunday.
Gate No. 1 to 8 Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg
Gate No. 10 to 15 Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg
Gate No. 16 to 18 Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Near Petrol Pump
The traffic police advised commuters to follow instructions from personnel deployed in the area and use alternate routes wherever feasible to avoid congestion during the match.
