BRICS Summit: Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory For Today; Check Affected Routes, Timings

Delhi Traffic Alert: In a major update for the commuters, the Delhi traffic police have announced several diversions and restrictions today in view of the BRICS Summit. In a post on X, the authority informed that vehicular movement will remain affected on several roads from 9:30 am to 9 pm. The residents have been advised to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

Commuters Advised To Avoid Roads 

As per the advisory, the commuters have been advised to avoid several key roads, including Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, T-Point Road, Tees January Marg, Janpath, Satya Marg, Prithviraj Road, Firoz Shah Road, Ashoka Road, Hailey Road, Neela Gumbad, Panchsheel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Africa Avenue, Kautilya Marg, Bhagwan Das Road, Copernicus Marg, Kartavya Path, Purana Quila Road, and Safdarjung Road.

Apart from this, restrictions have also been announced in other regions such as Dr Dinesh Nandini Dalmia Chowk, Ram Charan Aggarwal Chowk, Mir Dard Chowk, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Janpath/Connaught Place, Patel Chowk, Moti Bagh Flyover, Lodhi Road-Rahman Marg, Neela Gumbad, and Mandi House.

Delhi Traffic Police Issues Advisory 

The traffic police have advised the commuters to utilize the public transportation to avoid the rush. The residents travelling to Delhi airport and railway stations in Delhi have been advised to use the metro services. Apart from this, they have also been suggested to take extra time while travelling and coordinate with the deployed officials.

Apart from this, the Delhi metro services will begin an hour ahead on Sunday to ensure convenience to the students and the employees. "To facilitate the smooth and timely movement of students appearing for examinations and the general public, Metro train services will commence at 6 am on all lines on Sunday," the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said in a post on X.
