Gurugram Hit-And-Run Case: Amid the ongoing probe into the Gurugram hit-and-run case, a video was circulated on the social media platforms alleging that Kalyan Bainsla, the key accused, had received support from his community. The video was widely circulated in which a group of men were seen blocking a road and raising slogans.

However, the Jagran New Media's fact-checking website Vishwas news, in its investigation, found that the actual video was from 2025, which was later shared on September 17, with caption in support of Bainsla.

Old Video Was Circulated

As per Vishvas News, the real video was shared by an Instagram account called 'Jat Samaj'on May 8, 2025. The same video was also found on an Instagram account named 'Abhay Baliyan' and was uploaded on April 20 the same year. Amid the ongoing controversy, the same video was shared by some social media users and news websites, claiming that the people had gathered to support Bainsla.

What Triggered The Row?

Earlier, the state police revealed that Bainsla and his friends were returning from a club and confronted with the bikers on their way. He followed Sia for over two kilometers and allegedly rammed her motorcycle after she denied stopping after being asked to stop.

The Gurugram Police filed a suo motu case at the Sector-56 Police Station after the video of the incident went viral. On her complaint, the police added Section 109 (attempt to murder), Section 78 (physical and digital stalking), and Section 79 (acts against the modesty of a woman) of the BNS to the FIR.

"It can be clearly seen that he deliberately hit (the biker) from the side after an argument. The intent was to kill the victim. The victim has also told the police that the intention was to kill her," Gurugram DCP (East) Sandeep Kumar said as quoted by PTI.
