ECI-SIR Row: Amid the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)-led protests seeking resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, a new satirical outfit called 'Laal Hit Janata Party' has been formed to counter the Abhijeet Dipke-led group. The group also held a meeting in Delhi, raising objections to the frequent protests and the methods of the CJP. The LHJP has alleged that the Abhijeet Dipke-led group has attempted to create anarchy in the country.

'Will Not Contest Any Election'

In a meeting held at Malviya Smriti Bhawan on Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, the core members discussed the strategy and relevant issues. The meeting was led by convenor Ayan Bhatnagar, and filmmakers Richa Gupta, Pawan Nagpal, and Atul Gangwar, reported news agency PTI. While Bhatnagar clarified that the outfit will not contest elections, they will protest against those spreading lies and false propaganda.

"The Lal Hit Janta Party was not formed to contest elections, as we have already made clear. We stand against CJP and its protests. We oppose cockroaches who want to weaken the country's democracy and attempt to create anarchy in the country," Bhatnagar was quoted as saying by news agency IANS.

"We will gather in different groups, on both large and small scales, present our views and arguments, and take our message forward. We will show them that a party like the 'Lal HIT Janta Party' now exists to challenge them. If you have the courage, come and debate," he added.

'CJP Tried To Weaken Democracy'

The outfit has been named after a brand used to kill cockroaches, a possible gesture to threaten the Dipke-led satirical group. The LHJP has stated that while protests should be held in a democracy, those spreading lies and creating chaos must be controlled.

Earlier this month, a Makhi Janata Party (MJP) was also formed after Chief Justice of India Surya Kant stated that the authority was using brutal force to suppress the protests. Ironically, the CJP was also formed after Surya Kant's statement on the inefficiency and incompetency of certain young groups.
