- IMD predicts heavy to very heavy rain for Chhattisgarh, Odisha.
- Delhi-NCR, Bihar, southern states to witness moderate rainfall.

Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several states across the country are likely to witness rainfall on Saturday. As per its advisory, multiple states such as Delhi, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Punjab are expected to witness moderate to heavy rainfall. The weather department has also stated that Odisha and Chhattisgarh are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at least till Sunday.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update
As per the weather department, several parts of Delhi and its nearby cities are likely to witness fresh rainfall amid the BRICS Summit. The heavy rainfall is likely to cause waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences to the commuters amid the traffic restrictions. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 33 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 24 degrees Celsius.
Will It Rain In Bihar?
The IMD has stated that there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and strong winds in 12 districts of Bihar, including Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, Saharsa, Jamui, Munger, Banka, Khagaria, and Bhagalpur, on Saturday. The central and southern districts are dealing with floods due to a sudden surge in the water level of the rivers.
Heavy Rain Alert For Chhattisgarh
As per the advisory, several districts of the Bastar division, including Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Bastar, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, and Kanker, are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall at least till Sunday. The farmers have been advised to follow the guidelines and limit the financial activities during the rain.
Apart from this, the coastal districts of the southern states, such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, are also expected to witness moderate to heavy rainfall today. The residents of these states have been advised to stay updated and limit their outings during the rain.
