- IMD warns of heavy rain in Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand.
- Delhi-NCR to experience cloudy skies, no rainfall expected.
- South India, Uttarakhand also forecast heavy rain and winds.
Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Odisha and West Bengal are likely to witness very heavy rainfall on Thursday. Apart from this, other states, including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Kerala, and Uttarakhand, are set to expect heavy rain. Along with the heavy rain, the central and eastern states are also likely to witness thunderstorms, gusty winds, and lightning.
While providing details, the weather department stated that a system is developing from an upper-air cyclonic circulation over the north Bay of Bengal and nearby regions, leading to rainfall in the eastern states. The continuous rainfall is likely to cause waterlogging in the lower regions, leading to inconveniences to the daily commuters.
Delhi-NCR Weather Update
The residents of Delhi and nearby cities are likely to witness cloudy skies on Thursday, but the capital city is not likely to witness rainfall. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 36 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 25 degrees Celsius. As per the IMD, the temperature is likely to remain 2 to 3 degrees higher due to the humidity.

Rain Alert For North India
As per the weather department, the hilly regions of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall at least till September 13. The intense rainfall has led to landslides in the upper regions, causing inconveniences. The tourists have been advised to stay updated and plan their travel accordingly.
South India Weather
The coastal regions of the southern states, including Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh, are set to witness heavy rain and gusty winds, the IMD informed. Apart from this, parts of Karnataka and Telangana are also expected to receive fresh rainfall in the coming days. The fishermen have been advised to stay updated and maintain a distance from the water bodies.
