The National Highway Authority (NHAI) is all set to increase the toll rates on Rewari-Jaisalmer Highway and Rewari-Rohtak Highway. The fee for cars, jeeps and vans will increase by Rs 5 and that for buses and trucks by Rs 15. The increased rates will be applicable from 12 midnight on April 1, 2025, jagran.com reported. Although the only toll plaza in the district is at Gangaycha Jat, the toll plaza at village Kathuwas on NH-11 is right next to it. According to NHAI, earlier car, jeep and van drivers had to pay Rs 145 to get the slip for both sides.
Earlier One Had To Pay Rs 310 For One Side
Bus and truck drivers earlier had to pay Rs 310 for one side. Now this tax has increased to Rs 325. These vehicles will have to pay Rs 485 instead of Rs 470 for both ways. Large vehicles, which earlier had to pay Rs 610 as one-way tax, will now be charged Rs 630. Earlier, the two-way tax was Rs 915 and now under the new rates, they will have to pay Rs 945.
Notification Has Been Issued: Toll Manager
Gangaycha Toll Plaza Manager Bharat Yadav said, "The National Highway Authority has issued a notification. The increased toll rates will come into effect from April 1."
