National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted searches at 19 locations in South India by busting a highly radicalised Jihadi terror group, news agency ANI reported citing sources. The raids have been underway since this morning. The anti-terror agency is conducting these raids in close coordination with the state police forces.
Most of the 19 locations, being searched by NIA, are linked to suspects affiliated with the jihadi group. The action came days after the NIA raided multiple locations across Bengaluru, Karnataka, in a case relating to the radicalisation of prisoners by a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist.

As part of a massive crackdown on the ISIS terrorist organisation, the anti-terror agency on December 9 arrested its 15 operatives during multiple raids across Maharashtra and Karnataka.
Up to 44 locations in Padgha-Borivali, Thane, Mira Road, Pune in Maharashtra, and Bengaluru in Karnataka were raided by multiple NIA teams. The raids resulted in the arrest of 15 accused who were allegedly involved in the promotion of terror and terror-related acts and activities of the banned organisation, PTI reported.
Earlier on December 15, NIA conducted simultaneous raids in four states, including Bihar, against the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI). During the four-hour raid, an Indian Army uniform, two illegal weapons, incriminating equipment, and several documents, cash, and jewellery were seized.
In connection with a terror conspiracy investigation, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) and NIA searched several places in Bengaluru, Anantnag, and Kulgam, South Kashmir, on Wednesday. Based on specific tips, multiple NIA teams conducted raids at around six locations in Bengaluru, working closely with the state police force.
