Noida News: Noida Authority has started preparations to provide relief to people from the daily traffic jam at Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal located in Sector-95. For this, the footpath between the trees from the main boundary of Prerna Sthal will be converted into a road, jagran.com reported. Here the width of the road will be increased by about five to seven metres. During this time the second boundary of the Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal will be completely removed. The trees in-between will be converted into central verges. Noida Authority has sought permission from the Memorial Committee for this construction work.
Traffic Congestion After Sector-18 Flyover
Around 10 lakh vehicles travel daily from Delhi to Greater Noida Expressway via Mahamaya, Film City, DND, Sector-14A entrance, Sector-15A, Film City located in Sector-16A. These vehicles get stuck in traffic jams while descending from Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal, DND Loop, Sector-15A, Sector-16A Film City, Sector-18 flyover.
To provide relief to vehicles coming from the Noida entrance gate at Sector 14 A from traffic jams, the footpath has been narrowed by 1.5 metres and extended by one lane till Sector 15 A and Sector 16 A Film City.
400 Metre Road Widening
The work of widening the DND Loop has been done by shifting 13 trees, but the width of the road near Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal could not be increased. Therefore, there is a daily traffic jam here. It is mandatory to take permission from Dalit Prerna Sthal Committee for construction here. Noida Authority received this permission from Lucknow on Tuesday.
Now, about 400 metres of road can be widened from the end of Sector-18 flyover to DND Loop, out of which one to one and a half lane road will be widened for 200 metres from the boundary of Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal to DND Loop. Due to which the expressway and traffic going from Sector-18 of Noida to Delhi will not get stuck in a jam.
“The road near Rashtriya Dalit Prerna Sthal will be widened by about seven metres. The poles and tiles installed here will be removed. The work circle has been asked to prepare its estimate,” said Mahendra Prasad, OSD, Noida Authority, as quoted by jagran.com.
