Noida International Airport, also known as the Jewar Airport is set to start commercial flight operations on April 17, 2025, with two cargo, 25 domestic and three international flight services. These services will connect 25 cities of the country directly to Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. Directorate General of Civil Aviation has given its consent for the domestic services while the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has given permission for the three international flights. However, the decision of the Central Government is pending in this regard. Flight trials without passengers will start between November 15 and December 15.

Approval To Begin 25 Domestic Airlines

The developer company had applied to DGCA to start air services from the airport. In a meeting held this month, DGCA gave its approval to start 25 domestic air services when the airport becomes operational. Through this, air services will be available to 25 cities of the country from Noida Airport from the very first day.

IATA Gave Approval For Three International Airline Services

Noida International Airport Ltd. (NIAL) Chief Executive Officer Dr Arunvir Singh said that with the increase in the number of passengers, the number of domestic flights will also increase. Initially, approval has been given to start flights to 25 cities. IATA has also given its approval for three international flights, however, the central government is yet to take a decision on this. Two flights will also be started for cargo.

Terminal Building Construction Work Being Completed Rapidly

The construction work of the airport's terminal building is being completed at a fast pace. All the work is expected to be completed by December. In December itself, the developer company Yamuna International Airport Pvt. Ltd. will apply for an aerodrome license to DGCA. A trial flight with crew members is proposed on November 30.
