Tearing into the foreign media for its reporting on Operation Sindoor, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Friday said that they failed to show any damage to Indian structures, but images of India’s precise military operation on Pakistan’s 13 air bases surfaced.
NSA Doval hailed India’s ability to hit its target accurately without any miss in Pakistani territory in May, as he said that forces “hit nowhere else except the targets". NSA remarked while addressing the 62nd Convocation of IIT Madras.
NSA’s statement questioned the initial reporting of several foreign media outlets claiming that India suffered a loss during its standoff with Pakistan.

Foreign Media Pushed Pakistani Narrative
CNN, in a report published on May 31, claimed that Pakistan had shot down five Indian jets in an aerial battle, quoting Pakistani sources.
Other media organisations like The Guardian, The Times pushed Pakistan’s narrative that India targeted civilians in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7 during Operation Sindoor.
Doval Quotes Foreign Media Reports To Slam A Section Of It
Doval, addressing the gathering, said, “Foreign press said that Pakistan did that and this…You tell me one photograph, one image, which shows any damage to any Indian (structure), even a glass pane having been broken…They wrote these things and put out things…The images only showed 13 air bases in Pakistan before and after 10th May, whether it was in Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Chaklala…I am only telling you what the foreign media put out on the basis of images…We are capable of doing that (damage to Pakistani air bases).”

The New York Times confirmed the loss to Pakistan as it acknowledged the damage suffered by Pakistan during India’s Operation Sindoor. In a report, it said, “High-resolution satellite imagery, from before and after the strikes, shows clear damage to Pakistan’s facilities by Indian attacks, if limited and precise in nature.”

Doval also appreciated the efficient weapons and technology used during the operation Sindoor.
“We have to develop our indigenous technology. Mention of Sindoor was made here. We are really proud of how much indigenous content was there…We decided to have 9 terrorist targets in the criss-cross of Pakistan, it was not in the border areas. We missed none. We hit nowhere else except that. It was precise to the point where we knew who was where," the NSA said.
