Dense fog is expected to prevail in the mornings over Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Nayagarh districts for the next five days. Other districts may also experience similar conditions intermittently.
Reduced visibility due to fog affected traffic on national highways and rural roads in the morning. IMD has said that no major change in minimum temperatures is forecast in Odisha until December 31. Cold nights will continue in most districts. However, after the New Year, there may be a slight increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in night temperatures depending on the change in wind direction and atmospheric circulation.
