One App, One Ticket: Noida And Delhi Metro To Introduce Single App Solution For Commuters' Convenience | Details

In a bid to ensure commuters travel, the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is working towards introducing a unified travel system with the Delhi Metro, which will allow travellers to book tickets for both Noida and Delhi Metro on a single application. This means you can download QR tickets for the Noida and Delhi metros through a single app, eliminating the need for separate apps. The single app facility is currently undergoing testing.

Nearly 70 thousand people have downloaded NMRC’s Aqua Metro App for metro ticket booking, but only ten thousand people use it due to the hassle of managing multiple apps for Noida and Delhi metro. As commuters of Aqua Metro have to download DMRC’s app to travel in it, the utility of Aqua Metro is not increasing.

To eliminate the need for separate apps and ensure commuters' convenience, the NMRC has started the work of developing a single-app facility in collaboration with DMRC. A contract has been signed between both metro rail authorities. The work of developing, testing and training is underway, and the app will be launched soon for the passengers. This single-app initiative aims to enhance commuter convenience and increase the utility of the Aqua Metro.

“The management is making efforts to increase the convenience of Aqua Metro passengers so that the journey of more and more passengers can be made easy. They can travel in the entire NCR through a single app. Their dependence on other apps can be eliminated,” Dr. Lokesh M, Managing Director, Noida Metro Rail Corporation, said.
