The Pasrur Air Defence Radar was "completely taken out and burnt", the IAF officer said while showing a satellite video of the site. The air operations carried out by India targeted other strategic military locations, including Chunian Air Defence Radar and Arifwala Air Defence Radar. The Air Marshal also showed satellite images and videos of Sargodha Airfield, Rahim Yar Khan Airfield, Chaklala Airfield (Nur Khan), Sukkur Airfield, Bholari Airfield and Jacobabad Airfield. Air Marshal Bharti emphasised the strategic importance of the mission, highlighting the IAF's readiness and technological prowess. With these attacks, India aimed to make its stance against aggression clear. "The bases we struck include Chaklala, Rafiq, Rahim Yar Khan - sending a clear message that aggression will not be tolerated. This was followed by strikes at Sargodha, Bhulari, and Jacobabad,” said Air Marshal Bharti.

While Pakistan has continued to dismiss any claims of successful attack on its military bases, the runway at Rahim Yar Khan airbase in Pakistan’s Punjab province has been made non-operational till May 18, according to a report by The Indian Express. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), directing closure from May 10, 4 PM (Pakistan time) to 4:59 AM on May 18.

The NOTAM announcing the runway's unavailability for flight operations substantiated India's claim that the Rahim Yar Khan air base came under IAF missile strike. “RWY NOT AVBL FOR FLT OPERATION WIP.,” the notice read. The term 'WIP' stands for work in progress, according to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

The IAF officer also showed satellite images of the damaged runway of the Sargodha Airfield, which he said was under repair now.

India-Pakistan News: What Happened So Far

India and Pakistan have been engaged in a military face off at the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) for over a week. The tensions between the two neighbouring nations flared after Pakistan-based terrorists gunned down 26 people, mostly civilians, in Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025. In a strong response to the terror attack, India carried out 'Operation Sindoor' against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Jointly conducted by the three branches of the Indian armed forces, between 1.05 AM and 1.30 AM on May 7, the operation saw India use precision strike weapons system to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan. This was followed by a failed drone strike by Pakistan for the next three days, starting May 8. The Indian air defence successfully intercepted and neutralised the Pakistani drones.

India and Pakistan reached a ceasefire agreement on May 10 afternoon, but it was violated by night as Pakistan again launched a drone strike in the border states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The MEA, in its briefing, said Pakistan violated the bilateral agreement on stopping all forms of aggression on land, air and sea. The government has now directed the armed forces to give befitting response to the Pakistani attacks.
