Operation Sindoor: Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has welcomed the recent Operation Sindoor, which targeted terrorist sites deep within Pakistan. He stated that the Pakistani deep state must receive a "tough lesson" to prevent further attacks like the one in Pahalgam.
In a post on 'X', Owaisi praised the surgical strikes conducted by Indian defence forces on terrorist camps in Pakistan, asserting that, "I welcome the surgical strikes carried out by our defence forces on terror camps in Pakistan. The Pakistani deep state must be taught a tough lesson so that another Pahalgam never happens again. Pakistan's terror infrastructure must be completely destroyed. Jai Hind!"

The Congress party also voiced its support for the Indian military operations, calling for national unity in the fight against terrorism. Jairam Ramesh, a senior Congress leader, stated on 'X', "India’s commitment to eliminating all sources of terrorism in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir must be uncompromising and anchored in our national interest." He affirmed the party's full support for the government's response to the Pahalgam attack.
According to reports, India conducted its most significant military action within Pakistani territory since 1971, targeting terror camps in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The strikes came in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack and aimed to eliminate leaders of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), who are responsible for planning attacks on Indian soil.
The Ministry of Defence announced that Operation Sindoor was successfully launched, striking terrorist infrastructure in the specified regions. They stated that the operation was precise and measured, ensuring that no Pakistani military facilities were targeted.
The operation resulted in strikes on nine terrorist locations, including four in Pakistan—specifically Bahawalpur, Muridke and Sialkot—and five in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
