Indian forces have caused massive damage in key Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot and Karachi, in strikes using missiles and drones.

The Indian Navy also joined Operation Sindoor and launched attacks in Karachi, which is said to be the commercial capital of Pakistan.

India's response came after the Pakistani military fired missiles and drones at military installations in 15 cities in western and northern India in a night attack. The Defence Ministry said the Indian defence setup successfully intercepted all the missiles, drones and no harm was caused to the Indian installations.

The attacks were carried out in the border districts of Rajasthan, JK and Punjab. All major cities sharing a border with Pakistan are in complete blackout.

“Military stations at Jammu, Pathankot & Udhampur were targeted by Pakistani-origin #drones and missiles along the International Border in J&K today. The threats were swiftly neutralised using kinetic and non-kinetic capabilities in line with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). No casualties or material losses were reported. India remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its people,” the Defence Ministry posted on X.
