The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) took a dig at former Congress leader and LoP Rahul Gandhi after media reports suggested Pakistan High Commission in Delhi sent cartons of mangoes to seven Parliamentarians, including the Raebareli MP.
Reacting over the development, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said the former Congress chief had “napak” (unholy) ties with Pakistan.

"Some time ago Rahul Gandhi said that he doesn't like mangoes from Uttar Pradesh. Pakistan Embassy has sent mangoes to Rahul Gandhi now. He should tell what other things he likes. Have you asked for anything from Pakistan to remove PM Modi. They have unholy relations with Pakistan,” Singh said while talking to news agency ANI.

BJP MP Anurag Thakur also criticized Opposition leaders, noting that they were getting mangoes from the place where their hearts truly lie. "They are receiving mangoes from the place their heart lies... He (Rahul Gandhi) doesn't like the mangoes of UP, but he seems excited about the mangoes from Pakistan," Thakur told ANI.
BJP IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya seven Opposition MPs, alleging that they received mangoes from Pakistan.
Among the recipients, Malviya named Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor, Samajwadi Party MPs Mohibbullah Nadvi, Zia Ur Rehman Barg and Iqra Hasan from Rampur, Sambhal and Kairana and Ghazipur MP Afzal Ansari.

Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently sent high-quality mangoes to Prime Minister Modi, BJP leaders, and several Chief Ministers. However, he did not send any to Chief Ministers from non-BJP parties. A senior official, in this regard, commented, "Leaders of other parties don't appreciate UP's mangoes."
