India Pakistan Tension: India took a series of steps against Pakistan since the deadly terror attack in Jammu And Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22, in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed. The Centre also asked all the chief ministers to drive away all Pakistanis living in their respective states. In the line of order, the authorities, across the nation, are identifying Pakistani nationals and deporting them to their nation. Shockingly, a few of them were living in India for decades.

One such person was spotted in Attari who claimed that she had been living in India for 41 years. Condemning the terror attack, the woman sought stringent punishment for the terrorists, saying she should not be punished for their sin. I'm compelled to leave my young daughters here, she added.

"I am from Karachi. I have no idea why we are asked to leave. A terrorist attack took place in Kashmir, but why are we being punished? I have been staying here for the last 41 years. Whatever is happening is not right. We don't stand with them. Their (terrorists) legs should be broken and they should be hanged. I appeal to the government that whatever is happening with us is not right," she pleaded.

I've Cast My Vote Here, Own Ration Card: Pakistani National

Another person - Osama - found at Attari who claimed he had been living in India for 17 years and he held a ration card and voter ID card. He claimed to cast a vote here.

"I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree. I wanted to appear for job interviews after my examinations. I have been staying here for the last 17 years. I appeal to the government to give us some time. I have cast my vote here, I have my ration card...Whatever happened there (Pahalgam) is wrong. I condemn this incident. It is a very shameful act...I have completed my Class 10th and 12th here, what will I do there? What is my future there?" he said. 

786 Pakistanis leave India through Attari-Wagah border

Meanwhile, as many as 786 Pakistan nationals have left India through the Attari-Wagah border point within six days beginning April 24.

1376 Indians Return From Pakistan

The officer informed that during the same time, a total of 1376 Indians have returned from Pakistan through the Attari-Wagah border.

On April 24, the government announced that Pakistani nationals should leave India by April 27, and those with medical visas had until April 29 to do so. Those having diplomatic, official and long-term visas were excluded from the 'Leave India' notice. The deadline for Pakistanis holding any of the 12 categories of short-term visas ended on Sunday.
