Parliament Security Breach: To access the social media accounts of the six accused arrested in the Parliament security breach case, Delhi Police has written to Meta, which owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp. The police sought details of the now-deleted Facebook page 'Bhagat Singh Fan Club', where they met each other, news agency PTI reported citing sources.
Police have also gathered the bank account details of all accused persons to determine whether or not they were paid by someone to carry out the crime on December 13. On Sunday, several Delhi Police teams approached the family members of the accused and collected details of their bank accounts. According to the sources cited by PTI, bank passbooks belonging to Neelam Devi and Sagar Sharma were taken from their homes in Haryana's Jind and Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow respectively.
The ' Bhagat Singh Fan Page' was created by the accused and later deleted. Police also requested Meta to share the WhatsApp chats of the accused as their mobile phones have been damaged. According to police, Lalit Mohan Jha, the mastermind behind the whole plot of the Parliament security breach, threw his mobile phone and burnt those of other accused in Rajasthan's Nagaur, where he fled after the incident.
During the investigation, Delhi Police on Sunday recovered broken parts of the phone belonging to the Parliament security breach accused. All the devices were found in burnt condition. The police said the mastermind accused, Lalit Jha, had the phones of all the persons involved in the Parliament security breach incident.
Parliament Breach: Six Accused Arrested So Far
Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Amol Shinde, Neelam Devi, Lalit Jha and Mahesh Kumawat have been arrested so far for their alleged involvement in the Parliament security breach case. They have been booked under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Sagar and Manoranjan had jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery on December 13, released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans before being overpowered by MPs. At the same time, Amol and Neelam released coloured smoke outside the Parliament premises and raised slogans.
