Parliament Security Breach: A team of Delhi Police carried out a search operation at the residence of Neelam Azad, who is one of the six individuals arrested in connection with the security breach that took place on the premises of Pariament last week. The Delhi Police team took Neelam's old diaries and some of her old books in its possession, her brother informed.

The search was carried out during late evening hours of Sunday at Neelam's residence in Haryana's Jind. "The police have taken Neelam's old diary which also has contact numbers of her friends and some of her books which were on government and farmers," Neelam's brother Ramniwas was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Ramnivas also claimed that the police team also enquired about multiple bank accounts held by Neelam in different banks. "The police also asked about two or three accounts of her which are in different banks. They have also taken bank account details with them." he stated. He further said that his wife and mother were home during the search operation.

On being asked about interrogation from family members, Neelam's brother said, "I was at my home along with my wife and mother when the police carried on the search but none of us were interrogated or asked about anything by officials from the police team."

Speaking about the request to meet Neelam, the brother said that the police team has told them that their request to meet Neelam can be accepted only after the court's approval. Neelam's parents have filed an application in the Patiala House Court of Delhi, seeking a copy of the FIR registered against her and others. Parents also seek court direction from Delhi Police to allow them to meet with Neelam during the remand period.

Various sections of the IPC and Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) have been invoked against Neelam, who is a resident of Ghaso village in Jind. She was detained by police after she and one of her accomplices, Amol, allegedly released coloured smoke outside Parliament building and raised some slogans.
