Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that the Centre is ready to discuss Operation Sindoor on the floor of the Houses. He said this during an all-party meeting ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Parliament which is set to start from Monday (July 21).

Rijiju called for greater coordination between the treasury and opposition benches for smooth and fruitful conduction of the proceedings.

He said, "We are very much open to discussing important issues like Operation Sindoor in Parliament. There should be government-opposition coordination in running Parliament smoothly".

Rijiju also reacted to one of the most contentious issue of Trump's repeated ceasefire claims. When asked about the government's intent to raise the issue in the Parliament, he said, "Govt will respond appropriately in Parliament".

Although the government has said that it is open to discuss all necessary issues, including Operation Sindoor, the suspicion persists on PM Modi's presence as he is scheduled to visit UK and Maldives between July 23 to 26.The opposition has demanded that PM Modi must remain present in the house when the discussion takes place.

Congress has questioned the government for holding the session knowing that the PM will travel abroad. Speaking after the all-party meeting, Congress' deputy leader in Rajya Sabha, Pramod Tiwari, said, "When the Prime Minister knew that he would be abroad on those dates, why did he call the session? The Prime Minister should look at his attendance as to how many days he attended the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Our Prime Minister is not serious about democracy."

On Friday, 24 costituents of the I.N.D.I.A bloc held a virtual meeting and chalked out a strategy to corner the government on eight critical issues in the Monsoon Session. These include, Trump's adment claims of brojering ceasefire, Election Commission's SIR in Bihar, and alleged foreign policy failure, amog others.
