Seeking custody of four people arrested for the massive security breach in Parliament on December 13, the Delhi Police on Thursday told the Patiala House Court that it was a ‘well-planned attack’ to incite fear. The police reportedly told the court that the accused carried pamphlets claiming Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be a ‘missing person’ and ‘proclaimed offender’.
The police also told the court that the accused hid the smoke canister in their shoes that were made in Lucknow which needs to be probed, as reported by news agency PTI.
The accused involved in the incident including Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi, have been charged under anti-terror law UAPA besides various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Earlier in the day, the accused were presented before a special judge for NIA cases Hardeep Kaur by the Delhi Police. The police requested their judicial interrogation for 15 days. However, the court sent them to seven-day police custody.
The police interrogation also revealed that one of the accused admitted that they wanted to enact the revolutionary action of Bhagat Singh, who threw bombs inside the Central Assembly during British rule in India, PTI reported citing sources. They planned to throw pamphlets in Parliament, police said.
It was also revealed that all four accused were associated with a social media page named 'Bhagat Singh Fan Club'. "So far, all the four accused claimed to have been self-motivated and they were planning and executing the whole incident on their own," a senior officer said, as quoted by PTI.
