Patna AC Pink E-Bus Service For Women To Run On These Routes; Check Fares

Jagran Correspondent, Patna: Raksha Bandhan has brought a special gift for women in Bihar with the launch of AC e-Pink bus services in Patna. The buses have been introduced to provide women with a safer, more comfortable and environmentally friendly public transport option. These battery-operated, low-floor buses will connect Patna with key routes in and around the city.

As part of the Prime Minister E-Bus Service Scheme, Bihar is set to receive 400 AC electric buses, including 50 Pink buses dedicated exclusively to women.

The process of providing AC electric buses to Bihar has begun. Five buses have now started operating as special Pink buses for women, connecting the state capital, Patna, with nearby areas.

According to the State Road Transport Corporation, two of the five AC e-Pink buses are operating on the Patna–Paliganj route, two on the Bailey Road route, and one is running from Patna towards Bihta.

According to the Road Construction Corporation, Bihar will receive a total of 400 AC electric buses, of which 50 Pink buses will be operated exclusively for women.

With air-conditioning facilities, the buses are expected to offer women a more comfortable journey, particularly during the summer months. At present, around 100 Pink buses are already operating in various districts across the state.
