Patna-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express: The Indian Railways will operate the Amrit Bharat Express train between Rajendra Nagar (Patna) and New Delhi from July 31, 2025 granting big relief to the passengers.
Patna-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express Route
It will start from Rajendra Nagar and will reach New Delhi via Patna, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Subedarganj, Govindpuri, and Ghaziabad.
In another update, passengers travelling to Bihar and West Bengal will soon experience improved rail connectivity, as the Indian Railways is set to introduce two new Amrit Bharat Express trains originating from Gomtinagar—one to Darbhanga and the other to Malda Town. Both trains will commence operations as special services from July 18, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating them virtually from Motihari. These trains will run via Ayodhya, enhancing regional connectivity. The Railway Board has issued a timetable notification, and orders for their regular operation are expected soon.
Malda Town – Gomtinagar – Malda Town Amrit Bharat Express (Weekly)
The train will depart Malda Town every Thursday at 7:25 PM, arriving at Gomtinagar on Friday at 3:40 PM. The return journey will begin Friday at 6:40 PM, reaching Malda Town at 4:40 PM the next day.

Darbhanga – Gomtinagar – Darbhanga Amrit Bharat Express (Weekly)
Train number 15561 will leave Darbhanga every Saturday at 3:00 PM, reaching Gomtinagar at 5:35 AM on Sunday. On its return, train number 15562 will depart Gomtinagar on Sunday at 8:15 AM, arriving in Darbhanga at 12:35 PM.
