The first flight of Fly Big company from Pithoragarh to Pantnagar took off on Monday, marking the start of a new air service for Uttarakhand. The air service was inaugurated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on January 30, but it was delayed due to bad weather conditions. The company is now operating the service three days a week on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The distance between Pithoragarh and Pantnagar is about 230 kilometres, which will be covered in only 50 minutes by the newly launched air service. The ticket price was set at Rs 1,048 for the first flight, as shown on the company’s website.
Pithoragarh-Pantnagar Flight Schedule
The flight will depart from Pithoragarh at 12.15 pm and arrive at Pantnagar at 1.05 pm. Then, it will leave from Pantnagar at 2.05 pm and reach Pithoragarh at 2.55 pm. The service is expected to boost tourism and connectivity in the region.

Meanwhile, the air service for Dehradun-Pithoragarh was disrupted on Sunday due to operational reasons. The service, which started on February 2, was supposed to run for five consecutive days from Friday to Tuesday but the flight to Dehradun was cancelled on Sunday.
