PM Modi AC Yojana 2025: A message claiming that the Indian government will distribute 1.5 crore 5-star Air conditioners free of cost under its new scheme, PM Modi AC Yojana, is being widely circulated on social media. Currently, the Indian government is not running any such scheme, and if you have also received similar messages, be warned. It is fake. 

Debunking the claim, the official X handle of PIB clarified that the claim is fake and the central government has not announced any such scheme. Taking to the X, PIB Fact Check said that no PM AC Yojana 2025 has been announced. “A post being widely shared on social media claims that under a new scheme 'PM Modi AC Yojana 2025', the Government will provide free 5-star air conditioners and 1.5 crore ACs have already been prepared,” PIB stated.  It further added, “This claim is #FAKE,” and “No such scheme providing free 5-Star Air Conditioners has been announced by the @MinOfPower (Ministry of Power)”. 

PM Modi AC Yojana: No Such Scheme Announced

A message has been widely shared on social media platforms claiming that the government is set to launch a massive distribution of 1.5 crore ACs through the PM Modi AC Yojana. Rumours suggest that the scheme will roll out in May 2025, and the Ministry of Power has already arranged 1.5 crore air conditioners for distribution. The message also urged people to share it and follow a specific account for updates.

The viral message further encouraged people to apply as soon as possible to avail the opportunity. Sharing further details about the PM Modi AC Yojana 2025, it added that once the government accepts the applicants’ request, an AC will be installed in their homes within 30 days, while there was no such scheme in place. 

Notably, the post encouraged users to apply as soon as possible; often, such fake messages are circulated to collect personal details or drive traffic to unverified pages. People are advised not to click on unknown links, share personal information, or forward such messages without checking the facts.
