Noida Airport: Construction of the Greenfield Expressway connecting the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Noida International Airport is progressing in Faridabad. Significant development has been seen near Mohana village, where pillars have been erected and girders placed. Once ready, the expressway will not only provide direct road access to Noida Airport but also link major routes including the KGP Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and National Highway in Faridabad. The expressway is expected to be operational by next year.

Greenfield Expressway: Bridge Over Yamuna To Be Ready This Year

Work is currently underway on multiple sections, including roads and bridge structures. A six-lane bridge is being built over the Yamuna river, with authorities aiming to complete it by the end of this year. The area near the Mohana interchange is also witnessing rapid construction, including elevation adjustments required for the road layout.

Greenfield Expressway To Cover 31 Km Across Two States

This expressway will begin near Sector 65 from the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway Link Road and stretch for a total of 31 kilometres. Out of this, 24 kilometres fall within Haryana, while the remaining 7 kilometres are in Uttar Pradesh. Once completed, it will offer direct road access between Faridabad and Noida International Airport.

Land Acquired In 12 Faridabad Villages

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has acquired land across 12 villages in Faridabad for this project. These include villages like Sotai, Machhgar, Bahbalpur, Panhera Khurd, Narhawali and Mohana. Construction work has already started at several points along the route.

Multiple Highway Links Planned

According to a Jagran. Com report, the expressway will also connect to other major routes. It will link with the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) Expressway and eventually connect to both the Noida International Airport and the Indira Gandhi International Airport. In addition, the Yamuna Expressway and National Highway in Faridabad will be accessible through this project.

The contract to build the Greenfield Expressway has been awarded to Apco Infratech Company and the project is being developed at a cost of Rs 1,660.50 crore. Green belts are also planned along both sides of the expressway to promote an eco-friendly corridor.

Bridges To Enhance Faridabad, Noida, Ghaziabad Connectivity

Besides the new bridge over the Yamuna at Mohana, several other bridges have already been built to support traffic flow. These include bridges at Manjhawali and near Kalindi Kunj. A separate bridge is also planned to ensure connectivity between Faridabad, Noida, and Ghaziabad.
