Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited INS Vikrant off the coast of Goa and Karwar to celebrate Diwali with the Navy troops. While addressing the troop, PM Modi stated that it was fortunate to celebrate the festival of lights with the brave soldiers. The prime minister also lauded the efforts of the armed forces during Operation Sindoor, asserting that coordination between the Indian Army, Air Force, and Navy forced Pakistan to surrender. PM Modi has been celebrating the festival with the soldiers since he took office in 2014, giving solid moral support to the forces.
"Today, on one side I have infinite horizons, infinite sky, and on the other side I have this giant, INS Vikrant, embodying infinite powers. The glow of the sun's rays on the ocean's waters is like the Diwali lamps lit by brave soldiers," PM Modi emphasised during his address. He further stated that no words can define the strength of the armed forces.

"The night spent yesterday on INS Vikrant is hard to put into words. I saw the immense energy and enthusiasm you all were filled with. When I saw you singing patriotic songs yesterday, and the way you described Operation Sindoor in your songs, no words can ever fully convey the experience that a jawan feels standing on a battlefield," the prime minister added.
Earlier in a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi extended Diwali greetings to all the citizens, urging everyone to buy domestically made "Swadeshi" products during the festival of lights. The Prime Minister also wished that the festival illuminate the lives of Indians with harmony, happiness, and prosperity.
