Prime Minister Narendra Modi will conduct an aerial survey of the disaster affected areas of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. After an aerial survey of Chamba, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi districts, the Prime Minister will hold a high-level meeting at Kangra Airport, jagran.com reported.
In the meeting, the PM is expected to give necessary guidelines to the officials for disaster relief and rehabilitation work. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Kangra Parliamentary constituency MP Dr Rajiv Bhardwaj, Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency MP Anurag Thakur, Rajya Sabha member Indu Goswami, Sikandar Kumar, Chief Secretary of the state government and other senior officials will be present in the meeting.

No Flights For Three Hours At Kangra Airport
In view of the Prime Minister’s visit, no flights or planes will arrive at the Kangra airport from 12 noon to 3 pm, jagran.com reported.

Apart from the SPG, 400 state police personnel have taken over the security arrangements. 400 police personnel have been engaged in the security arrangements of the dignitaries and traffic management.
As heavy rains continue to batter Himachal Pradesh, the cumulative death toll due to rain-related incidents in the state has reached 366. Of these, 197 fatalities were directly caused by rain-related incidents such as landslides, flash floods, and house collapses. The remaining 169 deaths were due to road accidents.
