Prime Minister Narendra Modi will sound the Lok Sabha polls bugle with his rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr on Thursday. He is likely to launch development projects worth Rs 19,000 crore for the western UP in his maiden poll rally. The rally becomes important for the BJP as it has been aiming 50 per cent vote share in the forthcoming electoral battle. The plan could get pace if the party performs well in Uttar Pradesh, which sends 80 lawmakers to the Parliament.
Moreover, the saffron party’s UP push becomes important as the Akhilesh-led Samajwadi Party has already announced its alliance with RLD, which has a very strong grip in western UP.

PM Modi’s first poll rally comes days after he inaugurated the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Ram Janmbhoomi issue has continuously been a part of BJP’s manifesto for the last 3 decades. Now, PM Modi is expected to present it as BJP’s accomplishment and a promise fulfilled. Thus, PM Modi is likely to rely on the concoction of faith and development while making the party’s pitch for the Lok Sabha polls.
The party’s UP cadre is working hard to make PM Modi’s first poll rally in the state a successful event. The BJP has planned two-month-long events focusing on the Ram temple to mobilise the party cadre and supporters for the Lok Sabha election. “It’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s first rally in Uttar Pradesh after Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. The BJP has mobilised its resources for the success of the rally and organised a fortnight-long public contact drive in West U.P. to ensure that people come in strength for the PM’s rally,” Uttar Pradesh BJP president Bhupendra Chaudhary said.
