1. India Signs Artemis Accords

India on Thursday decided to join the Artemis Accords, a non-binding set of principles designed to guide civil space exploration and use in the 21st century. NASA and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are making a strategic framework for Human Spaceflight Operations this year.

"In the space sector, we will be able to announce that India is signing the Artemis Accords, which advance a common vision for space exploration for the benefit of all humankind," senior US administration officials were quoted as saying by ANI.

2. US Plans On Easing Visas For Skilled Indian Workers

To help some skilled workers enter or remain in the United States, the Joe Biden administration will make it easier for Indians to live and work in the United States, Reuters reported citing three people familiar with the matter.

The US State Department might make the announcement that a small number of Indians and other foreign workers on H-1B visas will be able to renew those visas in the US, without the need to having to travel to other nations, Reuters reported citing one of the sources, part of a pilot program that could be expanded in coming years.

3. Biden And Modi To Announce Deal On Armed Drones

PM Modi and US President Joe Biden will announce a mega deal on the purchase of General Atomics MQ-9 "Reaper" armed drones by India, the White House has said. The move will boost India's national security and surveillance capabilities not only in the Indian Ocean but also along the frontier with China.

4. Micron Confirms Up To USD 825 Million Investment In India Chip Facility

US memory chip from Micron Technology on Thursday said that it will invest up to USD 825 million in a new chip assembly and test facility in Gujarat, India, its first factory in the country.

According to Micron, the facility will receive a total investment of USD 2.75 billion and Of that sum, 20 per cent will come from the Gujarat state and 50 per cent would come from the national government of India.
