Prajwal Revanna Sex Scandal Case:  Responding to the grave allegations against his son Prajwal Revanna, Karnataka JDS leader HD Revanna, on Monday said that the rivals have conspired by releasing videos which are 4-5 years old, a comment which might even create a bigger row within the state. He further said that his son, the Hassan Lok Sabha MP and candidate "already" had plans to go abroad and did not know that an FIR would be filed against him.

This came as a woman lodged an FIR against HD Revanna and his son Prajwal for allegedly assaulting her sexually. Earlier, a row erupted in Karnataka after several videos allegedly linked Prajwal Revanna, grandson of former Prime Minister HD Devegowda and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Hassan Lok Sabha Seat, leaked online. While Prajwal has denied any link to the videos and filed an FIR, Congress has been vehemently raising the issue.

Notably, Revanna left the country for Germany on Saturday after voting for his seat on April 26.

'Videos 4-5 Years Old': Father

Talking to ANI, his father HD Revanna said that the family won't get scared by such conspiracies.

"I know what kind of conspiracy is going on. I am not someone who will get scared and run away. They have released something that is 4-5 years old. Expelling him (Prajwal Revanna) from the party is left to the party's high command. It is their State Government. Let them investigate. Prajwal was anyway going abroad. He didn't know an FIR was going to be filed against him," he said.

"For the last 40 years under Congress, we have faced several investigations. Be it CoD or SIT. I haven't spoken to Deve Gowda on this. Action will be taken according to law," Revanna further added.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government has also initiated an SIT inquiry into the case with top police officers probing the allegations and the reality behind the sex scandal.
