Former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav's younger son, Prateek Yadav, passed away on Wednesday morning in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. He was brought to Lucknow's Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The exact cause of death remains unclear, jagran.com reported. Prateek was also half brother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

The love story of Prateek Yadav and Aparna Yadav has also been widely discussed. They first met at a friend's birthday party during their school days. Despite being schoolmates, they had never spoken before. However, after that meeting, they began interacting more often and became close through email exchanges.

It is said that Prateek Yadav repeatedly sent Aparna numerous emails. This is where their friendship blossomed into love. Interestingly, in the early days, Aparna was unaware that Prateek Yadav was related to Mulayam Singh Yadav's family.

After a relationship of nearly 10 years, they tied the knot with the consent of both families. They got engaged in 2011, and their lavish wedding took place on December 4, 2011. The wedding was widely discussed from Lucknow to Saifai. Many prominent political and film personalities also attended the ceremony.

Prateek Yadav was involved in the fitness and real estate businesses, while Aparna Yadav made a name for herself in both music and politics. Aparna later became active in politics and contested the 2017 elections on a Samajwadi Party ticket. She subsequently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Prateek and Aparna have two children. The news of Prateek Yadav's passing has sent shockwaves through the political and social circles.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Expresses Grief

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief on the social media platform X and wrote that the demise of Prateek Yadav, son of former Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of UP State Women Commission Vice President Aparna Yadav, is extremely saddening.

The official handle of the Samajwadi Party also expressed condolences on this tragic incident. The party wrote, "The passing of Shri Prateek Yadav ji is deeply saddening! May God grant peace to the departed soul. Humble tributes."
