Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday announced that the residents of the state will get 42 citizen centric services delivered at their doorsteps from Guru Nanak Jayanti on November 27. CM Bhagwant Mann said that this initiative is to serve the general public, who often face harassment by officials in their offices.
The chief minister made this announcement while addressing the centenary celebrations of the Government Medical College (GMC) in Amritsar. He also spoke about the government’s efforts to provide the best education and health facilities to the 3.50 crore people of Punjab.
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal while addressing the “Vikas Kranti’’ rally in Hoshiarpur on Saturday also highlighted the Punjab government’s vision of delivering the citizen centric services at the doorstep of residents and said that the AAP government in Punjab will soon deliver ration at doorsteps.
“Till now you people have to stand in long queues at ration shops. But in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann has brought a scheme by which flour, sugar and rice will be delivered to your homes,’’ Arvind Kejriwal said.
Meanwhile, Bhagwant Mann said that a huge budget has been allocated for the social welfare schemes in the state so that everyone can get higher education and get a job in their own state.
He also highlighted the achievements of his government in the health sector, such as establishing 664 Aam Aadmi Clinics, providing X-ray machines and staff to all tehsils and district hospitals, collecting data on diseases occurring in different parts of the state and launching the e-hospital scheme.
