Mohali Shocker: Man Stabs Ex-Girlfriend Over 30 Times Inside Office, Then Slits His Own Throat

In a tragic turn of events, a man allegedly stabbed his colleague, reportedly his ex-girlfriend, to death on Thursday evening. The incident took place at a private firm in Mohali and has been caught on CCTV.

Identified as Harvinder Mann, alias Harry, the accused entered the office at around 7.40 pm and tried to attack the victim, Dimple, with a knife by reaching her desk. Dimple then tried to escape, but Harry followed her into the office, grabbed her by the hair near the entrance, and continued attacking her.

Several employees attempted to intervene, but failed to stop him. Investigators believe the woman was stabbed more than 30 times before collapsing. After the attack, Harry allegedly walked back into the office area and attempted suicide.

CCTV footage reportedly shows him repeatedly stabbing his own throat. Shocked employees then called the police and rushed both individuals to Fortis Hospital, where the woman was declared dead, while Harry is critical.

The woman and the attacker apparently had worked together at a packers-and-movers company for about three years. It is believed that throughout that period they were in a relationship and decided to part their ways some time earlier. 

However, it is suspected that Harry had been trying to reconcile and restore their relationship, but the woman was not willing to give in. As per the initial details, an argument had occurred between them just before the attack, but the motive has not yet been confirmed, and the relationship between the two will be checked carefully.

Probe Underway

Forensics is examining the crime scene for evidence, and a criminal case has been registered, and statements of witnesses are being recorded. Families of the victim and the attacker, who reside in Patiala, have been informed.

A postmortem of the woman will be conducted today as police continue with their investigations.
