AAP Infighting: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met with President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi to protest against six Rajya Sabha members, who left the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Mann told the President that the Constitution was being mocked. An entire party can merge with another party with a two-thirds majority; if only six or seven members of one House do so, it is arbitrary. The BJP has two MLAs in Punjab, and the number of Rajya Sabha members has now increased to six.
Before Mann, Rajya Sabha members Raghav Chadha, Rajendra Gupta, Ashok Mittal, and Sandeep Pathak met with the President. The three members accused the state government of misusing government machinery and said the AAP was consumed by revenge.

Chadha warned that the AAP was playing a dangerous game, and this would have dangerous consequences. AAP has the police force of one state, while the BJP has the police force of 21 states. Mann retorted, "Why are you threatening to use the police force of 21 states? Joining the BJP will not save you. If you do anything wrong, you will be booked." He added, "You can hide in other states, but not in Punjab. Everyone's turn will come, but only legally."
Chadha said that as long as leaders remain in AAP, they are considered honest, but as soon as they leave the party, they are branded corrupt. Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh Bhajji was even called a traitor, and his family was targeted.
We Will Take Revenge in February: Kejriwal
On the other side, Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that there is not anti-incumbency but pro-incumbency in Punjab. "We never said the treasury is empty, said Kejriwal, adding that today both democracy and freedom are in danger. "These six seats did not belong to anyone's father, they belonged to Punjabis. We will take revenge for this in February," he vowed.
