Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday made a sharp riposte over PM Modi’s "moorkhon ke sardar" (the leader of stupid people) jibe at him. Gandhi, while addressing a rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh, said the PM uses abusive language against him wherever he goes but this would not affect him at all.

Talking about his goal, Wayanad MP said he would give as much money to the poor as Narendra Modi would give to businessman Gautam Adani.

“Narendra Modi uses filthy and abusive language against me wherever he goes. I don’t get affected by this. I have told you my aim. The amount of money Narendra Modi gives to Adani, I’ll give as much to poor people,” he said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a jibe at former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi over the latter’s ‘made in Madhya Pradesh’ remark while campaigning in the poll-bound state. Without naming the Wayanad MP, PM Modi said Congress leaders have a mental illness, owing to which they cannot see the progress of India.

Replying to Gandhi, who a day before said there would be a ‘made in China’ label behind the cell phone of everyone, PM Modi called him ‘murkho ke sardar’ (chief of mad people) asserting that India today is the second biggest manufacturer of mobile phones."One wise leader of the Congress yesterday said that everyone in India has mobile phones with a 'Made in China' label. Arre Murkhon ke Sardar, (chief of mad people) in which world do you live? The leaders of the Congress have this mental disease of not acknowledging the achievements of their own country," the PM said.
