In another update, after the completion of the Automatic Block Signaling (ABS) system on the Jang Bahadurganj-Magalganj-Neri and Harauli-Dasna-Pilkhua railway sections, train operations have begun under the new system. This has led to improvements in both the speed and capacity of trains. Under ABS, the number of signals has been increased to just one kilometre, so that as soon as one train passes, the train following behind gets the signal immediately. This will reduce the blockage on the outer tracks and also reduce the risk of accidents.

Under the old railway system, trains faced delays due to signals spaced 10-12 kilometres apart. Now, a Rs 1,500 crore ABS project is underway on the Ghaziabad-Moradabad-Bareilly-Roza and Roza-Sitapur sections. Moradabad Division Senior DCM Aditya Gupta stated that this system is capable of safely running more trains in a single direction. ABS work will soon begin on the Bareilly-Roza section as well.
