Railway News: Railway pensioners will not have to visit banks or pension offices to submit their life certificates with the launch of Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 in the Lucknow division.
Under this initiative, pensioners will now be able to submit their life certificates from the comfort of their homes using a mobile phone, face authentication app, or biometric device.
At the launch of the campaign, senior officials of the board stated that this facility aims to provide convenience to senior citizens and ailing pensioners. Older pensioners often had to stand in long queues at banks or offices, causing significant inconvenience. This process is now completely digital.
Life Certificates can be submitted online through Aadhaar-based face authentication or biometric verification.
Special camps will soon be organized under the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, where employees and pensioners will be informed about the process.
Railway officials said this facility will not only save time but also make the process transparent and secure.
Pensioners will need to download the Jeevan Pramaan app on their mobile phones and enter their Aadhaar number and pension details.
The certificate will then be automatically sent to the concerned department using OTP or biometric authentication.
Divisional Railway Manager Sunil Kumar Verma said pensioners have been urged to take maximum advantage of this digital facility and seek assistance from the nearest station or help center if necessary. This initiative is expected to directly benefit all railway pensioners.
