Railways News: The Railways has stated that several trains to the northern states have been delayed due to the dense fog, especially in the morning hours. It further stated that the fog has also affected the services of the premium trains, adding that the disruption has led to inconveniences for the passengers. While the situation is not likely to change in the next few days, the Railways has made some adjustments to regulate the operations. The authority has also advised the passengers of several states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Jharkhand, to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the Railways stated that apart from the passenger trains, the fog has also affected the premium trains. The authorities stated that the Howrah Rajdhani Express, known for its speed, has been delayed by over 14 hours. While the train was supposed to arrive at Prayagraj Junction at 11.41 PM on Saturday night, it is now expected to arrive sometime after 4 PM on Sunday.

Apart from this, the Rewa Superfast train has also been running late for the past few days due to the fog. The train was scheduled to arrive in Prayagraj at 6:10 AM; however, it is now expected to arrive around 5:30 PM, almost 12 hours late. The railways stated that despite the use of 'anti-fog' devices, the trains are getting late, further assuring that necessary steps are being taken.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the northern states are likely to witness dense fog for the next few days. Apart from the trains, the flight services for these states are also disrupted due to the presence of dense fog. The Railways has advised the passengers to plan their travel accordingly to avoid the inconveniences.
