Railway News: In a major relief for local commuters, especially aspirants heading to competitive exams, Indian Railways has extended a two-minute experimental halt for the Patna-Kota Express at Unnao station, effective from Tuesday. The stoppage will be made permanent if passenger footfall justifies it, officials said.

The decision follows persistent demands by Unnao MP Sakshi Maharaj, who had urged the Railway Minister to introduce the halt. "Students from the district preparing for competitive exams are forced to travel to Lucknow or Kanpur to board the train," the MP had highlighted.
