Raipur Accident News: At least 13 people lost their lives and around 12 others sustained injuries after a mini truck carrying over 50 people collided with a speeding trailer truck near Saragaon on the Raipur-Balodabazar road. The victims were returning from a Chhatthi ceremony in Bana Banarsi village in Raipur district. The accident took place when the mini truck carrying the villagers collided head-on with a speeding trailer coming from the Raipur side.

According to Jagran.com, the collision resulted in the death of 10 women, two girls and a 6-month-old infant. The injured were immediately transported to the Kharaora Community Health Center, while those with serious injuries were referred to Raipur Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Several victims are reported to be in critical condition, and the death toll may rise further.

"Around 13 people died after a small truck full of people collided with a trailer near Saragaon on Raipur-Balodabazar Road when they were returning from Chauthiya Chhatti after attending an event. Several others were injured and taken to the hospital for medical treatment," Raipur SP Lal Ummed Singh had said, shortly after the collision.

Kharaora police reached the spot quickly and began rescue operations. According to police, the impact of the collision was so powerful that many passengers died on the spot. Following the accident, there was chaos at the scene with screams and cries for help. Many passengers were trapped inside the mangled vehicle and had to be rescued by locals and police with great effort.
