In a frightening incident, a 25-year-old man was beaten to death in Rajasthan’s Neem Ka Thana district over suspicion of being in a romantic relationship with a married woman, news agency PTI reported citing police.

The police have detained four people in connection with the murder including the in-laws of the woman. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Neem Ka Thana Circle, Anuj Dal said the incident took place on Wednesday night in Rawat Majra village.

After receiving the information that a man identified as Mukesh Kumar Meena was allegedly thrashed by a group, a police team rushed to the spot and found the victim in an unconscious state. Meena was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead. 

The police said that Meena was a resident of Bansur and worked in the tent business. He met a woman a year ago in Rawat Majra village, which is 2 kilometres away from his village. On the day of the incident, the victim had allegedly gone to meet her.

Meanwhile, DSP Dal said a case of kidnapping and murder has been registered against six accused named by the deceased's sister in her complaint. He added that four people have been taken into custody for questioning.

DSP Anuj Dal stated that Meena died allegedly due to assault by the group, however, the actual reason behind the death is not yet identified. He said that the reason will be clear only from the postmortem report. He said the body was handed over to the family after the postmortem on Thursday.

In another incident, a 41-year-old man is accused of killing his wife and her lover before taking his own life in Bengaluru. The events unfolded between Wednesday night and Thursday morning at an under-construction building near RBI Layout, located within the Konanakunte police jurisdiction.

The suspect, Pulusu Golla, allegedly attacked his 33-year-old wife, Pulusu Lakshmi, and 20-year-old Ganesh Kumar with a wooden log, striking them on the head. According to the police, the confrontation likely escalated from a heated argument, leading to the violence.
