The names of popular leaders, including Vasundhara Raje, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Baba Balaknath and Diya Kumari had been making the rounds since BJP registered a resounding victory in Rajasthan. However, the discussion over probables in Rajasthan drew to a close after Mohan Yadav emerged as a dark horse in Madhya Pradesh. Now, people believe some new and unfamiliar face could be brought in to helm the state.

The saffron party has appointed Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey and Vinod Tawde as observers in the state. As per reports, the trio will convene a legislative party meeting at 4 pm. The party's high command has asked its all lawmakers to be in Jaipur for the key meeting.

Notably, many Rajasthan MLAs on Monday met Vasundhara Raje in Rajasthan. It is expected that Raje could be sidelined this time because seasoned Shivraj was overlooked to pave the way for new leadership in the party.
