After coming back to power in Rajasthan, the Bharatiya Janta Party selected Bhajan Lal Sharma, a first-time MLA, as the new Chief Minister of state, who is all set to take charge of office. The swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for today at the Ramnivas Bag in Jaipur, will witness the oath-taking not only of Bhajan Lal Sharma but also of deputy chief ministers Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, administered by Governor Kalraj Mishra.
The BJP secured a decisive victory in the November 25 assembly elections, winning 115 out of the 199 seats contested for the 200-member state assembly. The ruling Congress trailed with 69 seats. The chief minister-designate, Bhajan Lal Sharma, was formally announced during the BJP legislature party meeting on Tuesday, attended by central observers Rajnath Singh, Saroj Pandey, and Vinod Tawde.

Vidhyadhar Nagar MLA Diya Kumari and Dudu MLA Bairwa were chosen as deputy chief ministers, while Ajmer North MLA Vasudev Devnani was nominated for the role of the Speaker of the assembly.
The swearing-in ceremony is set to commence at 11 am at Ramnivas Bag in Jaipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President JP Nadda are expected to be present. Security measures and seating arrangements at the historic Albert Hall have been organised to accommodate a large audience.
Invitations for the ceremony have been extended to central leaders and state chief ministers, as confirmed by a BJP spokesperson. The streets leading to the state capital have been covered with posters and banners showcasing various Centre welfare schemes and cut-outs of leaders.

Bhajan Lal Sharma, hailing from Bharatpur district, expressed commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the people through the BJP's vision under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
